I cannot overstate how much running helped me to maintain my mental health

Going for a run always lifts my mood and makes me feel good about myself. It makes overwhelming tasks seem doable. One of the most valuable things I’ve learnt at university is that it’s better to do one hour less of studying if it means you can do some exercise, because this makes the subsequent hours much more productive.
